Troy Adam Tabor

Troy was born on May 26, 1970 in Boonton Township, New Jersey to parents, Bruce and Gina. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business marketing before beginning his successful career in real estate.

Troy dedicated many years as a realtor with ReMax Southern Homes and with his team, The Real Estate Gurus, serving countless families throughout the Birmingham area. He was there every step of the way to help each family he served achieve their dreams of homeownership. His genuine care for people and his talented professionalism earned him the role of trusted advisor and lifelong friend.

Outside of his career, Troy’s greatest joy was spending time with his three children. He also enjoyed playing golf in his spare time, and he kept his faith a center point of his life. He faithfully attended church and Bible study and loved committing his time to serving those around him. Troy never met a stranger. He was a friend to all and made a lasting impression on anyone he met.

Troy is survived by his children, Tanner Tabor, Sara Tabor, and Landon Tabor; his sister, Tracy Tabor Rippy; his mother, Gina Burrus; his father, Bruce Tabor; and Melissa Tabor, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

A visitation will be held at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 1-3 p.m. with a service following at 3 p.m.
