Warren Aubrey Buchanan

Buck graduated from Banks High School and earned his undergraduate degree from Jacksonville State University. The U.S. Air Force veteran was employed for several years as a claims adjuster with Alfa Insurance. His favorite leisure pastime was passionately rooting for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team.

Buck is survived by his wife and best friend, Elaine, to whom he was married on February 13, 1965; his daughter, Wendy Buchanan; his daughter, Traci Allen (husband Michael Allen); his son, Brian Buchanan; granddaughters, Kaitlyn Allen and Mary-Ashley Allen (daughters of Traci and Michael); and one brother and sister-in-law, Drs. Michael and Connie Buchanan.

Buck's family will greet friends at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by A Service of Remembrance at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124.
