Wiley Ralph Partridge

PARTRIDGE, WILEY RALPH PARTRIDGE, (The Peppermint Man), age 73, life-long resident of Shelby County, Alabama, died Sunday, May 23, 2010. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Pop was a member of the IUOE Local 312 for 36 years. He attended Oak Mountain Baptist Church and loved to garden, cut grass, and fish. Pop was preceded in death by his father and mother, Wiley and Rena Partridge; and a brother, Monroe Partridge. Survivors include Pop's wife of 51 years, Evelyn Partridge; two sons, Benjie Partridge (Cathy) and Kenneth Partridge (Lisa); two daughters, Kathy Tino (Darrell) and Connie Buse (Greg); grandchildren, Allen Hoffman, Brandon Buse, Joshua Partridge (fiance, Laura Blaising), Alex Tino, Mary Beth Partridge, Kendyl Partridge, and Kathryn Tino; three brothers; and two sisters. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham, Alabama. Funeral will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 in Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. Brother Wayne Williams, Rev. Pate Hughins, and Rev. Jay Kieve, officiating. Burial, Pelham City Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association.
