William "Bill" Bush Jr.

William “Bill” Bush age 69, of Maylene, AL passed away on May 9, 2016. Bill was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama (Roll Tide Roll) and was a Vietnam Veteran in the U.S. Army. Bill loved bowling, golfing, sports and most of all riding his Harley Davidson.

Bill is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gwen Bush; daughters, Jennifer Bush Thomas, Teresa Moore, Tammy Smith and Jeana Patton Mitchell (Bull); sister, Mary Anne Morris (Dave); grandchildren, Emily, Amber, Whittney, Michael, Megan, Cody, Chase, Danielle and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Ayden and Emma. Bill is preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. William Lee Bush Sr. and his son, Skeeter Lankford.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from the hours of 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL, the family would like for everyone attending the graveside services to meet at Southern Heritage Funeral Home by 12:45pm on Wednesday and follow the Patriot Riders to the Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Bill's Memory to the America Cancer Association.
