

William A. Wyatt, age 84 of Westover passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021. He was retired from Liberty National Life Insurance Co. after 30 years of service. He was a member of Chelsea Church of Christ. He graduated Vincent High School. He proudly served in The U.S. Air Force. He was the Commander of The American Legion, Post 43, an founder of Blue Star Salute of AL and served on the Board of Directors of the Veterans Affairs for 16 years.
He will be greatly remembered for surviving six major cancers, his love for his family and friends and his country.
Visitation and service will be Sunday January 24, 2021 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham, AL from 4:00-5:00 PM with service at 5:00 PM officiated by Chaplain Duke Martin. Burial and graveside will be Monday January 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at The Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo AL. Procession will begin at Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Live stream will be available for both services on Facebook by Southern Heritage Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Anna Lee Wyatt and sister, Helen Strawn. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Patricia; son Michael (CJ) Wyatt; daughter Michelle (Jeff) Minyard; Grandson Eric (Alyssa) Arrowood; Great grandsons Weston, Walker and Weylyn Arrowood; brother Kenneth Wyatt; Special Neighbor Evan Jamieson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
