Becky "Tollison" Wade

Becky was born on October 20, 1956, in Pell City, AL to Grady B. Tollison & Martha Joann Barber. Becky loved spending time with her husband, kids, and grandkids. She also loved attending her weekly lunches with her siblings, participating in her church groups, going on cruises, ghost hunting, and baking homemade cakes. She was widely known for her infamous three-layer red velvet cake and cupcakes, making hundreds of them over the years.

In 1974, Becky graduated from Pell City High School. Shortly after graduating, she started her career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama where she was able to work her way up the ladder to become a Senior Group Analyst and eventually retired at the age of 55 after 37 years of working.

Becky was first married to Ira Davis, with whom she welcomed three children. Following his passing, she later found love again and spent 24 years with her beloved husband, Rodney Wade.

Becky is survived by her second mom, Evelyn Tollison; her husband, Rodney Wade; children, Alishia Davis Singleton, Ira Davis Jr (Erica), and Alexus Muthee Nganga (Samuel); six grandchildren (Christen Davis, Ira Davis III, Averi Singleton, Nicolai Davis, Atlas Muthee Nganga, & Aris Muthee Nganga); sisters (Sheila Windsor & Pam Parker); brothers (Johnnie Tollison, Larry Tollison, Chester Tollison, Dennis Tollison & Ray Davis); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws and many honorary daughters and sons.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Joann Barber; father, Grady B. Tollison; and first husband, Ira Davis Sr.

Becky will be remembered, especially, for her fiery spirit, witty personality, and her remarkable love for the Lord.

A celebration of life will be held at Bethel Baptist Church in Odenville, AL on Saturday, August 8, 2026. 8332 Moody Pkwy, Odenville, AL 35120. Visitation with the family will begin at 3:00pm with a celebration of life service starting at 4:00pm. Repass to follow. In accordance with her wishes, Becky will be cremated.
