Beverly Ann Thomas

Beverly entered the kingdom of heaven on August 27, 2026. Beverly was born in Decatur, Alabama and graduated from Decatur High School. From there, Beverly went on to graduate from UAB School of Nursing. For her whole career, Beverly served as a RN in such places as Montgomery, AL, Richmond and Roanoke, VA, Huntsville, AL and finally in Birmingham. While in Huntsville, Beverly had the honor of serving on "Med Flight".

In 1989, Beverly met and married her husband, Terry. This marriage lasted 37 years with the 37th year anniversary date the day prior to her death. They enjoyed traveling to many music festivals around the south. Her husband turned her into an avid sports fan. She was a fan of the NY Yankees and the Pittsburgh Steelers in football. Her number one sports love was, of course, The Tide! She could be seen in her same seat in the Tide Pride section for 30 years.

Beverly loved all animals, especially dogs. Over the years they adopted many pets from various locations. Several of her "children" crossed over the rainbow bridge, including Boudreaux, Sammie, Bayley and Oliver.

Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Terry; her brother, Mike Hargitt; her sister-in-law, Kathy Buford; niece, Christie Hunter (Mike); nephew, Scott Buford (Beth); her special friend, "Daisy" and numerous loved life-long friends.

Beverly will be cremated with a memorial service to follow in the future.
