

Visitation will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City, Alabama on Saturday, June 14th at 1:00 pm for family and friends, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Annie Ruth Walker, and his brother Gerald Walker.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Joy Walker, with whom he shared 36 lovely years of marriage. Bobby is also survived by his daughter, Melia Romine (Peter), and 5 grandchildren: Katherine Nambo (Tonino), Simon Romine, Noah Romine, Seth Romine, Deborah Romine, and his great-grandchild, Theodore Nambo, who all lovingly called him Pawpaw. Bobby is also survived by sister-in-law, Sharon Walker (Gerald), niece, Brenda Broom (David), nephew, Jeff Walker and Dakota Walker, great nephew
Bobby was born in Gadsden, Alabama and raised in Attalla, Alabama. Bobby was a decorated U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran. While in service, Bobby earned multiple awards and medals: the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal. Bobby also earned an award and trophy for Expert Rifle Marksmanship. During Bobby’s 35 years of federal service, he worked with the Department of Interior, General Services Administration (GSA), and the U.S. Courts in Birmingham, Alabama. He received many awards and accolades throughout his career.
Bobby enjoyed working with electronics and boating on Logan Martin Lake.
Bobby left behind a beautiful legacy of service, love, and dedication that will be forever cherished by his family and friends.
