Brenda Ann Walker

Brenda Ann Walker made her entrance into Heaven Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City with Brother Paul Brasher officiating. Burial will follow in the Dailey's Chapel Cemetery in Rosa. She was born May 2, 1943 to Lonnie and Alta Parrish. Mrs. Walker is survived by 2 sons and 5 daughters: John Walker (Zane), Christy Carpenter, Candace "Candy" Lee (Keith), Tracey Walker and Jane Walker; 9 precious grandchildren who lit up her life: Halley Friedman (Dave), Gavin Walker (Jessica), Amanda Walker, Heather Huys (Charlie), Courtney McDowell (Adam), Emily Rogers (Joseph), Lauren Matthews (Preston), Justin Lee, Cayla Carpenter and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, John Walker, sons Ron Walker and Randy Walker, and grandson, Curt Carpenter, as well as 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Brenda enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as friends who became family, to include those of New Hope Baptist Church. A larger portion of her time in Pell City was spent alongside her husband John, where they led the Joy Club of New Hope Baptist Church. Many memories were made making fruit baskets and caroling with the church at Christmas time. She thoroughly loved living on the lake, where she spent much of her time outside, whether sitting on the porch swing or working in their yard alongside John for many years. Both John and Brenda created such a loving atmosphere at their home on the lake where they are remembered for hosting fish fries following their days and nights fishing on the lake where they resided. It is told that Brenda always caught more fish than everyone else, according to her. Mrs. Walker also loved to crochet and bake cakes. She is leaving a legacy for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of a love for the Lord.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, Joy Club fund. The Walker family would like to extend a thank you to everyone for your prayers and love during this time.
