I first met Dale in the early 80's when I transferred from Lincoln PD to Pell City PD. Dale taught me many valuable lessons about life and law enforcement. One of many wonderful things about Dale....Dale had HONOR. As I was/am a former Marine, that was all I needed to know. RIP brother. Fair winds and following seas.

What I know about Dale Spradley came from many years serving with him in law enforcement. I was but one of his many friends. I can tell you that he served his country well, both here and in the military. My experience with him came from years of serving with him, situations where we had to depend on each other for our very lives. He was honest, trustworthy and brave, and he expected his friends to be the same. He was one of the toughest lawmen I ever met but his toughness was tempered with compassion. I'm grateful I had the privilege of serving with him.
