Donald Lester

Graveside Services will be held at Cook Springs Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday May 31, at 2:00pm. Mr. Lester was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Howard and Nannie Lois Lester.

Don was a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Science and a Master of Education. He retired as a County Agent with the Auburn Extension Service.

He is survived by Dixie Ann Bauder, his long-term cherished friend of 43 years, with whom he shared a deep and enduring friendship and his adopted family, Phyllis Greene, Katelyn Ann Utsey (Luke), William Porter Utsey, and Mary Ann Farmer (Michael) and was affectionally known as ”Don Daddy”.

He was an avid square dancer and enjoyed camping and the outdoors.

The family wishes to express appreciation to the Colonel Robert L. Howard Veterans Home and staff and Lakeside Hospice for their loving care during this difficult time.
