Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Refuge Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy L. Mitchell, Sr.; sister, Mary Frances Cavender; brother, Robert Calhoun.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy Larry Mitchell, Jr.; daughter, Wanda Barnard; 5 grandchildren, Caitlin Cleveland, Regina Tucker, Elizabeth Mitchell, Hannah Mitchell, Audrey Mitchell; 3 great-grandchildren, Macey Cleveland, Shayne Cleveland, Sarah Pope; brother, Earl Calhoun; sister, Edna McCall.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 11 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
A Graveside Service for Dorothy will be held on Friday, December 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Hall Cemetery in Lincoln.
