Eddie Dempsey Lee

Eddie Dempsey Lee, 68, of Ashville, Alabama, passed away on June 20, 2026. Born on August 22, 1957, Eddie lived a life marked by loyalty, quiet strength, and a deep love for the people he called family.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Dempsey Lee and Edith Marie Lee; sisters, Jackie Lee Smith and Deborah Kay Kibby; daughter, Brittany Lee Brooks; and his wife, Sue Lee, whom he loved faithfully until her passing in 2024.

Eddie is survived by his brother, James Dwight Lee (Sandi); son, Josh Lee (Tiffany); Stepchildren, Neil Stinson (Karr) and Kandie Smith; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Among the joys of his later years was his little dog, Tinker "Tink," as he affectionately called her. Tink was his shadow, his comfort, and his constant companion.

Eddie was an Alabama football fan through and through. He enjoyed simple days, familiar faces, and anything that brought people together. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence , his dry humor, and the way he showed love not with many words, but with the way he showed up.

His family and friends will carry his memory forward with gratitude for the years they shared and the love he left behind.

Arrangements are entrusted to Kilgroe Funeral Home, Pell City, Alabama as follows:

Visitation will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home, 2219 2nd Ave North, Pell City, AL 35125, on June 26, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Pell City, Alabama.
