She is preceded in death by her husband, James V. Fleming, Sr.; daughter, Gwen (Ray) Roberts; son-in-law, Phil Zaretki; parents, Oscar & Estelle Southern; 11 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by son, Vichael (Lynn) Fleming; daughters, Ruth (Jim) McCombs, Sue Zaretki; grandchildren, Jimmy Watson, Michael Watson, Kevin McCombs, Renee Abernathy, Stella Moore, Julie Hail, Cathy Hail, Amy Roberson, Joshua Fleming, Jessica Fleming, Jacob Fleming; 20 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held on Thursday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Vincent. Interment was at Macedonia North Cemetery in Vincent.
