

Mrs. Edna Polk, Age 94, of Pell City passed on to heaven on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Mrs. Polk was born January 7,1927 to Mr. Walter and Mrs. Era Brown. Visitation will be held at 10:00 Saturday, October 2, 2021 followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00 at Cook Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. Polk is survived by her daughters Brenda (Richard) Roper, Valerie (Mike) Callahan, Pam (Danny) Howell, Thyra (Clark) Harmon; son Steve (Frieda) Polk; sisters Melba Abrams and Polly (Harold) Griffin; brothers Wayne (Marva) Brown and Gary (Dena) Brown; 17 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Polk; parents Walter and Era Brown; sister Bobbie England, and brothers Roy, Troy, and Mack Brown.
Mrs. Polk was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist church where she taught Sunday school and supported the church in various ways. She was also a member of the Eastern Star organization for many years. Mrs. Polk was a skillful homemaker, gardener and loving mother and grandmother/great-grandmother/great-great-grandmother who will be missed until we see her again one day in heaven.
