Fred was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and a cherished friend to all who knew him.
For 64 wonderful years, he shared a loving marriage with his wife, Frances Bunn, building a family that was the center of his life and greatest source of pride.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances Bunn; his two sons, David (Janet) Bunn and Jeff (Michelle) Bunn; seven grandchildren, Allison Bunn, Emily (Brad) Kay, Joel Bunn, Chloe (Philip) Ward, Emily (Blake) Mullinax, Corey (Alice) Bunn, and Jeremy Bunn; and eight great grandchildren.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, FM Bunn and Alma Mae Tucker, and sister, Jo Gibson.
After a long career with Edward Chevrolet of Birmingham, Fred retired and devoted himself even more fully to the people he loved most. Known affectionately as “Giddy,” he was the world's best grandfather.
Whether serving as the family taxi, cheering from the sidelines, attending school events, or simply spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was always their biggest fan and strongest supporter.
Fred never met a stranger. His warm smile, kind heart, and willingness to help others made him a friend to everyone he encountered. He valued family above all else and leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, generosity, and unwavering devotion.
Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
