Gem is preceded in death by his parents, William and Valza Taylor; wife, Norma Hollis Taylor; siblings, Nellie Ruth Taylor, Annie Faye Taylor McInnish, Jane Malone, Mack Taylor, Virgil Taylor, Bill Taylor and Alvin Taylor.

Gem is survived by his son, Jamie Taylor (Tracy); daughters, Angela Manasco (Keith) and Tracy Brasher (Jonathan); grandchildren, Jennifer Taylor, Zac Taylor (Miranda), Colby Taylor (Mariah), Austin Taylor, Nikki Taylor, Joshua Brasher (Sarah), Ashley Taylor, Taylor Reynolds (Cameron), Claire Manasco and Brad Taylor; 7 great-grandchildren, Sydney Taylor, Macy Taylor, Kinsley Taylor, Colton Tressillian, Jamie Taylor, Allison Taylor and baby brasher on the way. Gem is also survived by his 2 adopted children, Keith and Kevin Taylor.

Visitation will be held at Vincent United Pentecostal Church, 12 East Highland Drive, Vincent, AL 35178, US, on March 12, 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
