Gwendolyn Darlene Hilton Cofield

Gwen is preceded in death by her parents, Cordell and Evelyn Hilton; siblings, Charles Hilton, Lucille Hilton, Barbara Hilton and Cordell Hilton Jr..

Gwen is survived by her children, Megan Dean (Alan), Gary Morgan (Tammy) and David Lowe. grandchildren, Mackinse Parrish (Hillary, Morgan Dean, Trenton Morgan, Allie Dean, Grant Morgan, Alex Campbell, Gabriella Lowe and Kaleb Lowe. Gwen is also survived by her close family member Julia Dean and Stacy Alford.

Gwen was born on December 5, 1959, in El Paso, Texas. Throughout her life, she became many things—a beautician, a long-haul truck driver and owner-operator, an offshore deckhand, and an Army veteran of Desert Storm, where she served as a chemical specialist. She dedicated six years to active duty and eight years to the reserves.

In her later years, Gwen worked as a bail bondsman across three counties in Alabama. She lived her life freely, finding joy in gardening, traveling, and embracing each day to the fullest.

Above all, Gwen’s greatest accomplishment was being a mother and a granny. She will be remembered for her strength and resilience. Her joy was contagious, and her wisdom lives on as part of her lasting legacy.

May we carry her spirit with us, honoring her memory by living with the same strength, love, and fearless independence she showed every day.
