Cropwell- Funeral Services for Mr. Harley “Buddy” Holloway Jr., age 90, will be held Tuesday, February 12 at 3:00p.m. from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 12 from 2:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Holloway passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gracie Butler Holloway; father, Harley Eugene Holloway; brother, Martin Holloway; sister, Vila Mae Maddox; son, Bobby Eugene Holloway; and granddaughter, Jeri Higgins. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Jeanette B. Holloway; daughters, Pam H. Gillard, Sharon (Stuart) H. Higgins; daughter-in-law, Belinda Holloway; sister, Kathy Brown; grandchildren, Dawn (Mike) Barton, Tera (Jason) Leamon, Casey (Amber) Gillard, and Cole (Angela) Gillard; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr Holloway,Buddy was like a father to me .I met him when i was 13, over 50 years ago .We attended the same church for 45 years ,Crescent ridge church of christ .We also worked together on several home an business projects .He became my friend an father to me. We enjoyed vacationing together ,holidays ,an fishing trips to florida.He shared his knowledge to me for years an was always willing to help me anytime i asked him for anything . I spent the night with him when he had heart surgery an we talked thru the night about life .He was a honest hard working man that Loved his family an friends . He had a sharp clever smart witt about him that i loved ! I miss him an know one day i will see him again in Heaven ! Your son Stan Gillard
