Harvey is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Flora Bell Gortney; step-brother, Clyde Todd.
Harvey is survived by his brothers, Jimmy Gortney and Tommy Gortney; sister, Patricia "Susie" Gortney Clark; niece, Sherry Gortney; Harvey is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
A Graveside Service will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Pell City, AL 35125, on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
