Horace was born in 1941 in Lake City, Florida. He was a hardworking man who lived a rich and full life.
Early in life, he fell in love with bluegrass music and became a very talented banjo player. Later, he would serve in the Navy and then in the U.S. Army where he discovered a passion for flying before retiring as an Army Aviator and then worked as a computer programmer at AFLAC in Columbus, Georgia. He loved working with his hands and tools in his garage to create, repair, and build during his free time. He was never too busy to share hobbies, interests, and wisdom with his family and friends. He never lost the joy that music, flying or his family gave him. He was loved by many.
Horace is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deborah Green; his sons; Kevin, Michael and Benjamin; two sisters Mary Corbett and Allie Hellyer and two brothers Nathan and Lowell Green; several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Louise Green, daughter Kimberly Green, sister Annette Prassey; brother Norman Green and two half-brothers John and Gordon Green.
