Jimmy D. Tollison

RAGLAND – Funeral service for Jim Tollison, Sr., age 75, will be Friday, March 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Interment will be at St. Clair Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Church.

Mr. Tollison passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Tollison Coker; parents, Jack & Arvie Tollison; one brother and three sisters. He was able to leave his earthly home and was greeted in heaven by his loving daughter, Teresa.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margie Tollison; son, Jim (Brooke) Tollison, Jr.; grandchildren, Ethan Coker, Lacey Coker Gill, Jay Tollison, Claire Tollison.

He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. He was raised in the Coal City area where he operated a heavy equipment repair company and farmed. He was able to see four generations of family raised on the farm. He was active in the community before his illness and blessed to have a large family including many in- laws from the Odenville area.

The family would like to thank Lakeside Hospice for allowing him to pass with dignity and love on the farm he loved. Special thanks to Lakeside nurse Jeff Bush and Tiffany Gann for their care and dedication.

Pallbearers will be Chad Richey, Adam Miller, Bobby Bagby, Carl Jones, Derek Campbell, Stephen Cook, Tom Stansell, Ted Tollison, Dakota Hallman; Honorary pallbearers will be Jim King, Mike Pijoe, Charlie Epperson, Kenneth Epperson, Jeff Bush, T.W. Ray, Tommy “Dude” Trammel.
