John Raymond Turner

John is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence G Turner; sisters, Janice turner and Mary Pat Turner.

John is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jean B Turner; sons, Sean Boyd and Laeri Boyd (Amy); grandchildren, Mason G Boyd (Sarah), Lanham T Boyd; mother, Mary Patricia Turner; siblings, Jeff Turner (Debbie), Joyce T Schoenhard (Terry), Mike Turner, Kelly Turner (Betta), Tim Turner (Cynde) and Tony Turner (Stephanie)

John graduated from Cedar Valley High school in Somers Iowa. His senior year he was the lead runner on the cross country team when they won the state championship.

John honorably served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a combat Veteran in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969.

John retired as Production Manager at National Cement Company. John will be deeply missed by all who knew him. John loved all children and animals. John Turner was described best by one of John and Jeans favorite people, Patrick Brock who said, "John Turner was a mountain of a man in every way possible."

Visitation will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home, 2219 2nd Ave North, Pell City, AL 35125 on June 13, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home, 2219 2nd Ave North, Pell City, AL 35125 on June 13, 2026, beginning at 10:30 am.
