He is survived by his son, Eddie Whalen; and two grandchildren, Will Whalen and Alex Whalen.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Sandra Whalen; two sons, Michael Kevin Whalen and Jeffery Scott Whalen.
A visitation will be held at Kilgroe Funeral home on Thursday, November 13, beginning at 10:00am with a graveside service to follow at 12:00pm at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
