

She is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Melvin in 2008; parents, Clifton and Blanche Dobbs; grandparents, Wilson and Eva Fowler Dobbs; grandmother, Sula Bowles Turner; uncle, Milford Dobbs; sister, Mary Dobbs Poe.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Michael Poe; niece, Melissa Bobo; nephew, Mike Poe; great-nephews, Christopher Pow, Carsen and Alex Poe; step-sons, Douglas (Ann Marie) and Jim Bailey.
A graduate of Fayette County High School in 1956. Kathleen began her employment in the communication field holding several positions, resigning in 1975 as Contel Western District Manager. Relocating to Pell City a second career was enjoyed with Verdyol Alabama, Inc. (a subsidiary of Verdyol International of Basel, Switzerland), retiring as Manager of the Alabama operations in 2000.
An avid reader and gardener she also enjoyed traveling. She had the opportunity to travel to several European countries, the eastern and western Carribean, Novia Scotia, Alaska, Hawaii and other points of interest in the United States.
Being of Baptist faith, she was a member of Coosa Valley Baptist Church.
Graveside Service will be held Monday, January 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Fayette Memorial Gardens in Fayette, Alabama. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
