Lois Sims Higginbotham, age 98, of Riverside, Alabama passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022. Lois was born October 20, 1923 to Annie Viola Mackie Sims and Johnny Singleton Sims. Lois is survived by her daughters: Janet Pepper Sisco and Jackie Pepper Richards (Carlton); and her grandchildren: Jay Mathis, Staci Beth Sisco, Alexa Pepper and Anna Pepper. Lois was preceded in death by her husband Buford G. Higginbotham; her grandchildren: Alex Jackson Roe and Joshua Keith Mathis; her parents and 11 siblings. A visitation for Lois will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home with a celebration of life funeral service to follow.
