PELL CITY - Lynn Larry Roe, of Pell City, Alabama passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the age of 73. After a long hard fight, Larry peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walker Jack Roe and Henrynetta Masters Roe; son, Alex Jackson Roe; brother, Michael Anthony Roe; sisters, Jackie Roe Osbourn and Betty Roe Moors; nephews, Larry Wade Staples and Bobby Jack Eades.
Larry was born on September 28, 1947 in Pell City, Alabama. He was a lifelong resident of Pell City. After attending Pell City High School, Larry joined the US Army and was a proud highly decorated Vietnam Veteran. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign War Pell City Post 4758.
Larry was well known around town as the man who could fix any problem with any small engine. He ran his own business for many years until his health began to decline.
To his family, he was the patriarch. He was affectionately known as Uncle and Uncle was the fixer of all things. He always had a word of advice, a happy laugh, a bear hug, and when needed a firm hand. His family knows Uncle is now rejoicing with his son, Al; his brother, Michael; his sisters, Betty and Jackie; his beloved nephew, Jack; and his parents, Jack and Henrynetta.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia (Gerald) Swinford; nieces & nephews, Cindy (Garry) Chandler, Dotty Pritchard, Kristi (Steve) Sayers, Stephen Pritchard, Christine Eades, Nicole (Tim) Boswell, Joseph Osbourn; and several great nieces & nephews.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
