

Mickey G. Nickens went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 21, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on July 23, 1946, in Alabama, Mickey made his home in Cropwell, Alabama, where he was known and loved by many.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dugan Chester Nickens and Annie Louise Nickens.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sue Nickens; three daughters, Rhea Nickens, Teresa Kirby (Bar), and Tonya Harmon; nine grandchildren, Stacy Hesterley, Michael Hesterley, Christian Peavey, Noah Peavey (Gabby), Gregory Kirby (Allie), Joshua Kirby, Zachary Kirby, Ashlee Price (Tyler), and Trent Long; three great-grandchildren, Olivia Peavey, Mikaela Peavey, and Elizabeth Price; and one brother, Ricky Nickens (Tammy).

A Celebration of Life service honoring Mickey will be held on what would have been his 80th birthday, July 23, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Venue on 20th, located at 10 20th Street South, Pell City, Alabama 35125.
Mickey will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, Paw Paw, brother, Bama fan, Navy veteran, friend, and man of faith whose love for his family and the Lord left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing he is at peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
