

Monica Jean Mullen Thrasher of Lincoln, 62, passed away Sunday, Feb. 13, in Pell City. Monica lived life her own way and was a hard worker throughout her life most working for contractors supplying parts to the Honda plant in Lincoln. She loved living on the lake with her husband of almost 20 years, Tommy, and loved and cared for numerous pets through the years. She died one day before her and Tommy’s 20th anniversary and almost three years to the day as her brother, Pat, who died Feb. 14, 2019.
The couple spent countless happy hours on the deck overlooking the lake and visiting with friends and neighbors sitting outside around the fire pit. They shared a passion for Alabama football and NASCAR. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Ensley through the eighth grade where she made many lifelong friends and countless memories. She graduated from Ensley High School in 1977 and later in life took a few college-level courses out of curiosity.
She will be loved and missed by numerous family members and friends and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Francis Mullen Jr. and Martha Jean Spencer Petersen and her brother, Patrick Michael Mullen (Debbie). She is survived by son Jason Jamorski, daughter Erin Jamorski Hurt, sister Kathleen Mullen (Sabrina), brother John Francis Mullen Sr. (Theresia) and stepsons Adam Thrasher and Matthew Thrasher (Tiffany) and eight grandchildren.
Visitation is Friday, Feb. 18 at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City with a celebration of life at 1 p.m. led by Rev. Frankie Mullen. Interment at Valhalla Cemetery in Midfield will follow.
