

Nita was born December 9, 1946 to Roy and Kathleen Pritchett in Marshallville, GA.
Nita was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband, Jerry Brown Sr. of Montezuma, GA, her brothers Roy (Mamie) Pritchett and Gainer (Margaret) Pritchett, and her sister, Betty (Leroy) Williamson.
She is survived by her sisters, Kathryn (EC-deceased) Mims of Thomasville, GA and Barbara (Lee-deceased) Squier of Asheville, NC, her two children- Becky (Ira) Robinson of Ellaville, GA, and Chris (Erin) Lockerman of Social Circle, GA, and a step son: Jerry Brown Jr. of Montezuma, GA. She also leaves behind six grandchildren: Cali (Cameron) Stone, Casey (Keaton) Icard, Nicholas (Addy) Robinson, Hannah Lockerman, Ian Lockerman, and Brianna Brown. She also cherished her three Great Granddaughters- Raelyn Icard, Harper Stone, and Aubrey Stone.
Nita graduated from Macon County High School in 1965, where she then attended college at Georgia Southwestern State University. Nita loved and worked in Hardware in Montezuma and Warner Robins Supply. Later, Nita worked for Bird Eye Foods and Allen’s where she was a purchasing agent 16 years before retiring to be with her husband, Jerry Brown Sr. Nita loved her family and loved cooking for them. She and Jerry traveled and fished the Flint River every chance they could.
After Jerry’s passing, she moved to Pell City, AL to be closer to family, where God opened doors to new friends and happiness- learning to play Canasta and other card games with “her girls”.
