He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Laurie Alice Day Bean; daughter, Cathy Bean Gamble; son, Larry E Bean; grandchildren, John J. Gamble (Kara D.); and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Bean and Pearl Smith Bean; sisters, Evelyn Gardner, and Margie Daffron; brothers, Elbert Bean Jr., Earl Gray Bean, Herschel Lee Bean, Harold Edward Bean, and James Wayne Bean; and son in law, Michael J. Gamble.
A visitation will be held at Providence Baptist Church in Ragland on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 beginning at 1:00pm with a service to follow at 2:00pm. He will be laid to rest in Providence Cemetery, Ragland AL.
