He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lisa D. Lambert; two daughters, Cheryl Franklin (Jeffery) and Beverly Duck (Chris); five grandchildren, Becca Franklin, Mason Hash, Amanda Shockley, James Shockley, and Kyrian Duck; several nieces and nephews; and a host of “adopted” children.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Annie Lambert; and brother, Roy Lambert.
A visitation will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City on Friday April 25, 2026, from 5:00-7:00pm. The funeral service for Shorty will be held at 11:00am on Saturday April 26, 2025 in the Kilgroe Funeral Home Chapel, with a burial following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
