Ruby J Clinkscales

She is Survived by her son, Gary (Mary) Clinkscales; daughters, Joan (Larry) Davis and Jan Hawkins; sister, Jean Henderson; and sister-in-law, Mary Turner.

Ruby was a beloved grandmother to Gary Clinkscales Jr., Jason (Catherine) Clinkscales, Jeremy (Kim) Pressley, Josh (Mayela) Clinkscales, Mary Beth (Loren) Hacker, April Szokoly, Larry (Stephanie) Davis, Jonathan Davis, Natalie (Tim) Wilson, Maggie (Xavier) Villegas, and Mollie Hawkins (Todd Manning).

She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Anna (Ryan) McKenna, Sean Clinkscales, Ben Pressley, Baylee Pressley, Isabel Clinkscales, Rebecca Clinkscales, Mateo Clinkscales, Haley Hacker, Brooks Hacker, Ella Wilson, and Stephen Wilson, Diego Villegas, Sophie Villegas and Stella Villegas.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, John Guy Turner and Maggie Eunice Treadwell; her brothers, William Turner, Lloyd Turner, Tommy Turner and Jerome Turner; her sister, Mary Arnold; her husband, Ernest Maurice Clinkscales; her son, John Stephen Clinkscales; her daughter-in-law, Donna Clinkscales; and her son-in-law, Greg Hawkins.

Ruby deeply loved her family and found joy in cooking for them, singing with her brothers and in the church choir, and tending to her many flower gardens. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, a time when her warmth and love shone the brightest.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Aveanna Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion Ruby received. A special thank you to Leslie, Kerri, Jennifer, Tommie, and Stephanie for their kindness and dedication.

A visitation for Ruby will be held Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Macedonia North Baptist Church, 37 Co Rd 468, Vincent, AL 35178, followed by a funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM.
