Vester Ray Fowler

Funeral Service for Mr. V. Ray Fowler, 83, of Cropwell, will be Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church of Pell City with Rev. Byron Vance officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until the service time at the church.

He is preceded in death by a grandson, Chris Bates. Mr. Fowler was with the Campbell 66 Express company for 31 years and retired from Estes Express. He was a life-long member of the First United Methodist Church and had a very generous spirit.

Mr. Fowler is survived by his wife of 63 years, Pearlie “Pete” Fowler; a daughter, Katrina Fowler; two granddaughters, Amanda Sims (Jeff) and Brooke Hyde (Andy); a granddaughter-in-law, Sylvia Bates; and five great-grandchildren, Cole Bates, Nicki Bates, Laila Hyde, Casey Sims, and Cooper Hyde.
