I met Vincent thru Danny Falanga.  He was such a kind and gentle man.  I enjoyed talking with him.  He always made me smile.  He is going to be missed greatly.

I went to grade school with Vincent at St. Stephens in New Orleans and attended the Vincentian Seminary with him during our high school years at St. Vincent de Paul seminary in Beaumont, Texas.

Vincent was truly a wonderful person and I am glad that I had the opportunity to know him throughout my life.  Through grade school and high school, Vincent was always my sidekick.

Unfortunately, after high school we lost touch with each other for a very long time.  But because of his parents and my parents, we reconnected several years ago where we both resided on the North Shore.  My late wife, Karen, encouraged me to reach out to Vincent and we did.  Vincent and his neighbor, Don Peifer, became fixtures around our house and we thoroughly enjoyed their company and called them the "Odd Couple" because of their unique relationship.

Vincent was there in the last few years for me when I had some difficult times and I will be eternally grateful for that.

He always spoke highly of his children, parents, and his brothers and sisters and loved them deeply.

In June 2011, we had a reunion of old seminary classmates and classmates came from all over to be here, many of us had not seen each other in 40+ years.  Vincent was able to attend and the affection that this group of people had for him was something to behold.

Vincent was a positive influence in my life and I am forever grateful to have known him and I will miss his love for life and good natured exuberance.

My mother asked me to express her condolences also, so I will on her behalf.
