Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, James Mays; son, David Mays and brother, Jim Murphree.
Virginia is survived by her children, Jamie Mays and Donna Taggart (Andy); grandchildren, Drew Taggart (Jennifer), Amy Vernon (Josh), Mary Clay (Tony), Timothy Taggart (Aubree), Britney Crawford (Spencer), Trent Mays and Graclyn Mays. Virginia is also survived by her 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Freda Brown (Bill); sister in law, Sue Murphree and nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Logan Martin Church of Christ, located at 3401 Martin St S, Pell City, AL, 35054, on November 7, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
The funeral service will follow at the same location on November 7, 2025, starting at 11:00 am.
A graveside service will take place at Pleasantfield Cemetery, 109 Rob Key Road, Parrish, AL, 35580, on November 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
