Virginia Nell Moreland

PELL CITY – Funeral Service for Virginia Nell Moreland, age 81, will be held Thursday, December 17 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Clair Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Moreland passed away Monday, December 14, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband, JL Moreland; parents, Luther M. Davis, Sr., Nellie V. Davis; sisters, Viralee Webster, Hazel Sanders, Doris Green, Barbara Callen; brothers, Luther M. Davis, Jr., George H. “Sonny” Davis.

She is survived by her 4 daughters, Carolyn (Douglas) Pruett, Sharon (Cecil III) Ferguson, Annette (Billy) Ford, all of Pell City, Barbara (John) Willingham of Rainbow City; 11 grandchildren, Johnny (Amber) Kay II, Nicholas Kay, Angela Pruett, Larry Curtis Welch, Wendy (David) Key, Adam Welch, Joseph Blankenship, Amanda (Jerome) Ramsey, Derek Moreland, Matthew (Cynthia) Moreland, Jacob; 14 great-grandchildren, Jonathan Kay, Zoe Kay, Mathieu Kay, Jessica Fulk, Emry, Rylan and Miley Welch, Drake & Kyleigh Blankenship, Diesel Ramsey, Cayden, Daelan, Riggs & Ethan Moreland; sister, Betty Jo Edwards of Vincent; many loving nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Kay, Nicholas Kay, Marty Edwards, Adam Welch, Joseph Blankenship, Matthew Moreland.
