STERRETT – Graveside Service for William James “Bill” Burkett, Jr., age 83, will be Sunday, October 29 at 3:00 p.m. at Beulah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Burkett passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017. He is preceded in death by his son, Alan Ray Burkett; parents, Mr. & Mrs. William James Burkett, Sr.; sisters, Hannah Speigle, Dorothy Blackmon.
He is survived by his wife, Freddie Burkett; son, William James (Missy) Burkett III; daughters, Donna (Dale) Atchison, Freda (Lowell) Bobo, Gwinda (Bobby) Abernathy; 9 grandchildren, Crystal (Dustin) Ginther, Autumn Dodson (Chuck Collier), Forrest (Jessica) Dodson, Stephanie (Foy) Butts, Amanda Abernathy, Brandon Abernathy,
Leighann (Josh) Sims, Alyssa Burkett, Kelly Burkett; 11 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Nathaniel, Seth, Raylen, Addie, Bennett, Koen, Ava, Robert, EJ, Maci; brother, Charles Ray Burkett.
