Amy was born in Jeannette, Pennsylvania on April 24, 1925, the daughter of the late Ernest L. and Susan A. (DiClaudio) Biagi. She attended Girls High in Philadelphia, where she was a gymnast, swimmer and dancer. She earned her degree in physical education and health from Temple University. Amy taught physical education in both the Philadelphia School District and in Abington, PA. She and her late husband Bungy retired to Penn Yan in 1975. She immersed herself in learning about the local area and contributed to many community organizations including: Delta Kappa Gamma, AAUW, Yates County History Center, Safe Harbors and Habitat for Humanity. She never missed sending notes of appreciation for the smallest of favors to the delight of all who received them. She and Bungy embraced hosting gatherings large and small on their deck overlooking Keuka Lake. "The more the merrier!" For the past nine years, Amy lived at Clinton Crest Manor in Penn Yan, where she truly made it home for herself.
