

Friends and family may call from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm on Friday, June 15 at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY. His service will be held at 11am on Saturday, June 16 at the Penn Yan First Presbyterian Church, corner of Main and Clinton St., Penn Yan.
Chuck was born in Penn Yan on February 6th, 1950, the son of Lester H. and Jean L. (Kirkpatrick) Jensen. He graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1968 and moved to Rochester, NY where he worked for Gleasons for 3 years. After which he was employed as a Lineman (Chief) for NYSEG for the past 41 years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #2030, Seneca Lake Duck Hunters Club, the Elks Lodge #1722, Sons of the American Legion, and his IBEW local #249. He was a lifelong NASCAR racing fan, motorcyclist, lawn mower extraordinaire, and dance floor enthusiast. He was most comfortable lounging by his pool in his swim trunks with a Michelob Ultra in his hand. His greatest joys in life were his children, grandchildren and family. His family is eternally grateful that he spent his last weekend on this earth enjoying the Monster Mile NASCAR Race at Dover, DE.
Chuck is survived by his son, Brandon (Joy) Jensen: daughter, Jori Jensen (Eric) Cincotta; stepdaughter, Erin Kennedy (Eric) Hodges; grandchildren, Cody, Skylar, Mckelvie, Jaxon, Anne Olivia, Marcella, Natalie, Reeve, Owen and Ava; father, Lester Jensen siblings; Roger & Becky Jensen, Bonnie Perry, Deb Jensen, and Timothy Jensen; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his loving companion, Cindy Smith, who he said gave him the best year of his life. He was predeceased by: his mother, Jean Jensen, his brother-in-law Glea Perry, and his brother Randy Jensen
