Doris M. Ledgerwood

Doris was born June 7, 1922 in Penn Yan to Archie and Blanche Payne Ingram, one of four children. She and her husband, Lloyd, owned and operated a dairy farm in Benton Center. In addition, she enjoyed her work with the Yates County Cooperative Extension. She was also very involved in activities with the Benton Methodist Church.

Surviving are her children, Larry (Dale) Ledgerwood, Tom (Carol) Ledgerwood, and Robert (Beverly) Ledgerwood; grandchildren, Jamie (Dana), Jeffrey (Lisa), Amy, Adam, Erin (Shane) Slayton, and Sarah; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Ledgerwood on October 23, 2009, and her three brothers, Charles, Paul and Lloyd Ingram.

A private funeral service for close friends and family will be held at Benton United Methodist Church, 2395 Havens Corners Road, Penn Yan, NY 14527 on Friday, May 11th, 2012 at 2pm with Pastor Adrienne Russell officiating. Interment will be made at Little Church Cemetery immediately following the service.
