'Ethel' Jean Bennett

Jean was born September 22, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Lillian Fitzwater, and George Ingram of Potter. She graduated from Middlesex Valley Central School in 1945. Jean was formerly employed by New York Telephone Company, Sampson Airforce Base, Geneva General Hospital-Taylor Brown, and retired from Clifton Springs Hospital as a Switchboard Operator. Jean for several years was a member of the Penn Yan Moose Club.

Jean is survived by several children, James D. (Velma) Gilmartin of Elmira, NY, Robert G. (Robin) Gilmartin of New Hampshire, Stephanie A. Ridley Fedigan of Waterloo, NY, Denis (Karen) Gilmartin of Penn Yan, NY, and Lisa R. Boyd of Waterloo, NY; Fifteen Grandchildren and twenty-four Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husbands, Robert F. Gilmartin and Rolland C. Bennett as well as, her daughters, Eileen Roxanne McKenzie of California and Kathy Jean Gonzalez of Minnesota; her twin sister, Elsie J. Bodine and her brothers, George Ingram and Donald Ingram and son in law, Daniel Boyd.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, September 24th, 2014 at 1pm at Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY 14527. Burial will follow at Nettle Valley Cemetery in the Town of Potter, NY.
