Sending prayers to you Ruth, Jeremy, Jonathan & Sarah as you find peace in fond memories together! I will especially remember enjoying the Alaska trip and showing George how to play with his food....shelling crab legs. We talked about it a few times at special occasions at Jeremy & Susan's home. It was always a pleasure to share those occasions with him and the extended Spencer Family. Thank you for including us. Sincere Condolences, Fred, Bonnie & Keri Scott

Dear Ruth,

When I first arrived in Geneva as pastor I attended a ministers’ and spouses’ picnic at Keuka Lake State Park. Among those present was George. He was very quiet that day but I felt his gentle and kind nature without fail. Over the years, as I got to know you, Ruth, and your loving husband George, and as George gained strength, it was my honor to feel cared for and listened to with intent by him. He questioned my well being, his bright eyes alert and truly interested in me. When I married Malcolm he never failed to inquire about him or make Malcolm feel welcomed and wanted at events and meetings.

I could see the love between you and for your family, loved ones and friends. After all these years, you will miss George so much. I find that the memories of how much, and just how, Malcolm loved me is so very comforting that I am everlastingly grateful for his presence in my life. I hope and pray that the same may be true for you in the weeks and months and years that come.

Please give your children, and George’s other loved ones my condolences. Ask them to give you a long hug for me.

I will be back in town the end of April and hope to see you then.

God’s blessings, love, peace, and compassion follow you, Janice Bourne
