

Kenny “Killer” Cole, 64, passed away at his home on Monday, June 22, 2015.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, June 25 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY. Burial will take place at Bath National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Kenny was born on December 21, 1950 in Buffalo, NY the son of the late Thomas & Barbara (Reid) Cole. He graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1969 and served in the Navy from 1970-1973 – RMSN – radio seaman. Kenny worked at Mercury Aircraft from 1977-2004. He was a past member of the American Legion, Penn Yan Moose, Bath Elks Club and had been active in several things over the years including the Dundee Benevolent Firearms Association, Yates County Slow Pitch and Dundee Softball. Kenny was an avid bowler, bowling on 10 different leagues and in his softball years, Kenny was known as “Killer” due to the fact that he could hit any pitch of a softball over a fence and is well known around the Penn Yan and Dundee area.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Christine (Covell) Cole; children, Kevin (Lenny) Cole of Lake Alfred, FL, Brad (Lauren) Cole; step-children, Alisha Jenney, Ashley (Kevin) Dye; grandchildren, Keelan, Grady, Olivia and Julian Cole; step-grandchild, Alden Dye; sister, Debbie (Rod) Laursen; nieces, Rebecca Castner, Barbara Laursen; great niece, Avery and great nephew, Reid.
