Syd man. That’s what I called him. I met him in high school. Such a great guy. Always with a smile. He played guitar at my graduation party and I would run into him and Vikki now and then. Always a smile and a kind word. So thankful our paths crossed. He is at peace and I’m sure there’s much more work for him to do from above. Hold your memories tight and each other tighter. Praying for you Vikki, Heather, and family.

We grew up on Mechanic Street in Naples with Rodney, Syd, Lauri, Shirley & Adrian. Both families did a lot of things together. Just remember in our younger years all the good times we had. He was a good guy and will be missed by so many. Our condolences for your loss.

One of the kindest souls I have ever met. One of those rare friends whom you think of often, even if you haven't seen him in years. When he boogied that bass he became a different person, lighting up the stage with his dynamic personality. On the job or offstage he was humble, quiet unless he was chuckling. Truly the best of all qualities in any dude. A piece of my heart broke when I heard the news. You will be missed, my friend.

Syd was such a humble man. Always with a smile and helping hand. I meet Syd at PYA. Recently we shared laughs and recovery stories from surgery while at PT. I will miss that smile and gentle soul. Prayers to the family.

Syd was a great friend and an amazing talent.
When we made music together it just flowed from his very soul. He was one of the most humble and appreciative persons I have ever known. We had a lot of fun together playing music or just getting together for a supper or sitting around the campfire. Heaven certainly has a great bass player to add to the band there! He will be missed! Enjoy the lasagna there buddy!
A big WOO HOO to my brother.

I first met Sid at church. He was such a bright light and always showed how much he truly cared for people and Loved the Lord. Played the guitar with such feeling and expression. I’m sure he is playing for the Angels. AMEN Dear Sid 🙏🏼.

I first met Syd when he worked at the Academy and I worked in the District office. Syd always had a smile on his face and was willing to help everyone. The students loved him. Just recently I took over the Bible study at the Homestead and Syd helped with the reading. All the residents loved Syd and the way he interacted with them. Syd was such a Christian, and lead his flock of sheep with him. My condolences go out to his family.
