Willard "Willy" J. Hand Jr.

Willy was born in Syracuse, NY on April 16th, 1938, the son of the late, Willard J. and Lucy (Conway) Hand Sr. Willy was a member of the American War Dads and the VFW Auxillary. He dedicated his time to BBQ’s as fundraiser for the Wounded Warriors, the Keuka Comfort Care Home and many other area organizations.

He is survived by his children, Bob Hand, Dora (Daren) McIntyre, Bill (Sandi) Hand, Joe (Cindy) Hand, Lucy (Jim) Pedder, Jeff (Abby) Hand, Kim (Jayme) Gilbert, and Kelly (Chris) Hand; as well as, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, and sisters. In addition to his parents her was predeceased by his wife, Frances L. Hand on June 15, 2004.

Willy’s family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm on Monday, February 27th at the Townsend Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, where his funeral will follow at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made in his memory to the Keuka Comfort Care Home, PO Box 107, Penn Yan, NY 14527; St. Jude’s, P.O.
