

Adele Clancy, age 93, better known as “Del or Fancy Clancy”, with a smile and an extended hand, embraced the heavens as she passed from this world to the next. That’s right; Fancy Clancy is now dancing on streets of gold in heavenly places. Adele, means good humor and nobility, imagine that, she will be missed but not forgotten………….
Adele was born in Staunton, IL on August 5, to Anna & Mike Homer. She was a lifetime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church as well as a willing volunteer working with Braille for the blind. Adele was a member of the Homemakers Club of Pensacola, a longtime member of American Legion Post 240, and a lifetime member of the Grand Lagoon Yacht Club. She also enjoyed volunteering for the Humane Society of Pensacola.
“Del loved with a full heart”. She was the devoted wife of James F. Clancy (Irishman, retired US Navy, deceased 1999) who she met at a USO dance, and is the beloved mother of Patricia (Clancy) Edwards (Deceased 2001). She is survived by a grandson and many beloved nephews, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers donations for Braille can be made through Redeemer Lutheran please. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday September 30, 2014 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola with Inurnment to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. Oak lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
