Aetna Beauton Ligon Barrington went to be with the Lord on March 16th. Beauton was a graduate of Tate High School, Class of 46. She also attended Carson-Newman College in Johnson City, Tennessee. She married Fred Barrington on Sep. 11, 1950. Beauton accepted Christ when she was 13 years old. She was born in Pensacola, Florida on Spring Street. Her daddy was in the navy so she traveled a lot, her favorite place she lived was Hawaii, She was a Sunday School Teacher from age 18 until she was 84, and she was the best, ask any of her students. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Esther Ligon; her husband, Fred Barrington, and children Stephen and Susan Willis and brother, Jim Ligon. She is survived by her children, Sylvia Templar, Scott (Kelly) Barrington, Cindy (Wayne) Werhan; grandchildren Kristi, Kelsey, Thomas, Patrick and Moses; great grandchildren, Savana, Tyler and Ryan; brother, Frank Ligon; also numerous nieces and nephews. Our mother was the most wonderful thing that ever happened to us. She loved us dearly, she always wanted us to enjoy life and have joy and God in our hearts. The visitation will be on Tuesday, March 19 from 10:30 am until 11:00 am at Plainview Baptist Church with the funeral to begin at 11:00 am at the church.
