Alfred was born in Frenchville, ME and moved to Pensacola in Aug. of 1958 from Wyndham, ME. He was employed by Monsanto for 25 years and was a veteran of the US Navy. Mr. Cyr was a member of the American Legion, and enjoyed playing Pool, NASCAR and Football. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred Cyr, Sr and Blandine Paradis Collins and a sister Cecile Cyr. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Dorothy Mae Cyr; sons, James (Gayle) Hobbs, Tobias (DeeDee) Hobbs, Richard (Pam) Hobbs; daughters Tina (Richard) Johnson, Monya (William) Newmyer; brothers, Roger Cyr, Jimmy McClellan, Russell McClellan; sisters Alfreda Waterhouse, Helen Mohn, Claudette Butt; grandchildren, Aaron Hobbs, Natalie Hobbs, Marcus Flake, Claire Johnson, Miles Newmyer, Malcolm Newmyer. Visitation will be Wed. March 30 at Eastern Gate Funeral Home from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm. A chapel service will be held at the funeral home on Thur.
