Alma Galyean Pettus

Alma Galyean Pettus, 98, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on July 21, 2026. Alma was born in Corinth, Mississippi to parents, Benjamin Eugene and Glen Dora Galyean. A devout and faithful Christian, she lived with quiet conviction and leaves a legacy rooted in her faith.

Alma is preceded in passing by her parents, Benjamin and Glen Dora; her first husband, Lester Smith; second husband, Sidney Davis; third husband, Charles Pettus; companion, William Barnes; two children, Donna Smith and Diann Clower; and brothers, R.C. Galyean "Rock", Clester Galyean and Virgil Galyean. She is survived by her children, Peggy Huff, Robert Davis, Glenda Jones and Annette; grandchildren, Jeremy Davis, Troy Davis, Wesley Latina, Christy Latina, Johnnie Jones and many other beloved grandchildren. Alma is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren, multiple great-great grandchildren and her two longtime friends from Hillcrest Church whom were very dear to her, Edda and Fran.

A visitation will be held at Hillcrest Church | Nine Mile, 800 E 9 Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL, on July 29, 2026, at 11:30 am, with a funeral Service to follow at 12:30 pm. She will be laid to rest at Bayview Memorial Park, 3351 Scenic Hwy, Pensacola, FL.
